- •Mandatory for employees earning Basic + DA ≤ ₹15,000; voluntary for higher earners

Tax Implications:
- •Employee PF contribution deductible u/s 80C (up to ₹1.5 lakh limit)
- •Interest earned is tax-free if service completed ≥5 years
