Government Announces Reopening of GST Enrollment Period
The Revenue Department has announced that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) enrollment period will soon reopen, following a temporary suspension on April 30th. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) enrollment process, which experienced a temporary suspension on April 30th, is anticipated to recommence shortly. This positive update, originating from the Revenue Department, provides assurance to taxpayers who could not finalize their registration during the initial period.
From November 2016 until the April 30th cutoff, more than 60 lakh taxpayers successfully completed their registration on the GSTN portal. The Revenue Department is actively engaged in national awareness campaigns, aiming to ensure that all remaining eligible taxpayers enroll once the registration window becomes available again.
