New Feature: Import of Goods Details Now in Invoice Management System (IMS)

Starting from the October 2025 tax period, the Invoice Management System (IMS) on the GST portal will include a new "Import of Goods" section. This enhancement follows the introduction of IMS in October 2024, which allows taxpayers to manage records uploaded by suppliers.

With this update, taxpayers can now view their Bill of Entry (BoE) details for goods imported, including those from SEZs. They will be able to perform actions such as accepting, rejecting, or keeping pending each individual BoE record.

It is important to note that if a taxpayer does not take any action on a BoE, it will be automatically treated as deemed accepted. The GST Portal will then use the actions taken by the taxpayer to generate the draft GSTR-2B on the 14th of the following month.
